I agree with what you say about the need for goals. Put simplisticly, if you don’t know where it is that you want to go, then you can hardly be surprised when you don’t get there!

What you say about goals is absolutely true; if we don’t have them then we won’t go very far. However, in our case or indeed in the case of anyone who is undertaking a long journey. It’s important that we break our major goal into lots of little short term goals. If we fail to do that, then we risk becoming overwhelmed, losing momentum and even giving up.
